RBPS and Pollinators

Insect pollinators continue to decline in Europe despite the Common Agricultural Policy’s increased focus on environmental protection. Pollinator experts identified the need to improve the quality of habitats through improved targeted management and robust monitoring. This should be complemented with enhanced landscape diversity to provide all resources pollinators require throughout the year. Results-based payments schemes can play a key role to provide pollinator-friendly habitats.
