We invite you to the final LIFE IN COMMON LAND Congress, where the main results of the project as well as the achievements and lessons learned will be presented.

The LIFE IN COMMON LAND project is being developed in the Serra do Xistral in collaboration with the common land communities, with the aim of improving the conservation status of bogs and wet heathlands in this Natura 2000 Network site in northern Galicia.
In this congress, we will have national and international experts who will share their experiences within other LIFE projects or other related entities.
It is organised in five main sessions on which it is hoped to generate debate and reach conclusions that may be useful for other areas of Europe.

- Traditional rural activities and habitat conservation
- Bogs and heathlands restaurations
- Results based payment for conservation
- Field visit to Serra do Xistral
- Communal Areas and habitat conservation in Red Natura 2000
The event will be held in a hybrid format allowing both virtual and face-to-face participation (Lugo, Spain).
